• December Metro bus passes are now available in the main office.

• The Mi’kmaq/Aboriginal student program will be selling items on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the cafeteria.  Come do some Christmas shopping!  All proceeds are going to the Celebratory Feast hosted by the students.  Announce up to and including   

• There are 6 spots left for students who are interested in attending WE Day. Please see Mr. Down or Mrs. McNeil at 11:30am in room 232, Mrs. McNeil's room today if you are interested. For all students who have the forms and information about WE Day tomorrow, please hand you permission forms into Mrs. McNeil today.

• Congrats to the boys’ basketball team for defending Auburn by a score of 71 – 69.  It was a close game!  J.L. takes on Citadel High tomorrow at Citadel High.  Well done to the starters who fought back hard to regain our lead from being down by 20 early in the first quarter.

• Chebucto Family Centre will be visiting in the Cafeteria at lunch time today.
They will be doing a sign up for a Holiday Baking session at JL on Monday December 4th after school from 3:05 to 5:30. Stop by and find out more.

• Hey J.L.!  prom committee would like to invite you to our merchandise bingo, which is fundraising for your prom.  It’s happening tomorrow night at the school and the doors open at 6:00 pm.  There will be regular and special games with exciting prizes, along with a 50/50 draw and a silent auction  Hope to see you there! 


• Hey judges! we're officially half way through our first week of fundraising for judges against hunger! I hear some A block classes are really starting to put some weight in those boxes! but it's definitely not too late to compete, remember to grab those canned goods from your cupboards because we still have two days before the weigh in begins! we will also be accepting cash donations, $1 = 2 pounds of food! good luck to everyone! 

• IMHOTEP's Legacy Academy (pronounced as EEM-HO-TEP) will be arriving every Friday during the lunch hour in Room 304. There will also be a tutor available located at the Pathways Centre after school on Mondays from 3:30pm to 5pm. Imhotep will provide students with tutoring support in both Math and Science as well as Business (eg. Accounting) and Essay writing. For those students in Pathways, you can still sign up with Imhotep for the additional academic support. Scholarship opportunities are available through this program based on regular attendance. This program is a great opportunity and open to all students! *Please feel free to bring your lunch today in Rm 304* Computers are available during this time.
