• There are currently more than 60,000 registered members of the Mi’kmaq nation, with another 100,000 waiting for approval from the federal
government to be recognized as a member. It is estimated that the number of people in the Maritimes who are of Mi’kmaq decent are in the hundreds of
thousands.

• Jam club today after school in the music room, bring your jam.  

• There will be an optional get together for all those interested in trying out for the girls’ basketball team on Sunday morning at 9:30 at Central Spryfield outdoor court. This is an optional shoot around, and an opportunity to meet the new girls’ basketball coaches. The Girls’ first official tryout will be Friday October 23rd at 4pm in the J.L. Ilsley gym. All those interested in playing on this year's Girls’ basketball team must attend.

• The Library will be closed today from 12:40 – 1:30.
