Upcoming Changes to Parking Lot Access for Parents and Students (March 22)

We are entering the home stretch of the both the school year and the construction of our new school. Excitement is building among our students, staff and community as we get ready for our next chapter.

As the final phase of construction nears, we want to bring to your attention some adjustments that we will need to make to our daily routine. Following the March Break, the gymnasium, the adjacent parking lot and the parent/guardian drop-off loop will not be accessible for the remainder of the school year. These areas will be fenced off and there will be construction and demolition happening outside of school hours. We planned for this in our scheduling this year by ensuring physical education courses were completed in the first semester and physically active living classes have an alternate site.

We’ve also made arrangements on surrounding streets for parents/guardians who are dropping off and/or picking up students. Suggested drop off/pick up areas are Sylvia Ave. and Drysdale Rd. The Drysdale Rd. path leading to and from the school will be open and safely fenced off from the construction.

During this next phase of construction, you can really help us out by not bringing your vehicle onto the school property. The amount of space available on site will be reduced and to ensure everyone’s safety, only school buses, those who require accessible parking and staff vehicles will be permitted entry. This comes into effect on Monday, March 22.

We appreciate your understanding as we approach the finish line. We acknowledge there will be some inconvenience as we make these adjustments, but please know they are short-term. Long-term, we can’t wait to move into our new, modern learning space.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
