• Indigenous people have had many titles of classification over the years.  We have been:  Indians, natives, first peoples, first nations, status, non-status, Aboriginal, and now the government refers to us as Indigenous.

• If you have not picked up your picture proofs, please come down to the main office to pick up.

• Halifax Prep vs. RNS this Saturday night at 8 pm.  All JL students get free admission.  

• JL Ilsley’s International student leadership through the NSISP program is looking for current students who would like to attend a week long leadership camp in Mexico in March of 2018.  Applications and additional information can be found by seeing Ms. Butler in room 319 or Ms. Crowell in Room 330.  Preference will be given to grade 11 students. 

• Anyone interested in performance, that would be singing, dancing, acting, playing music, stage design and so on should come to an info meeting today at lunch in room 141 or see Mr Duncan

• Today is the start of Halloween week. Musical chairs will start in the cafe at 11:45, come on down to win a tasty prize. Tomorrow we will have candy pong. Hope to see you all there.

• Come out and show your support in our Judges Football final home game of the season. Kickoff against Cole Harbour is at 1pm at Rockingstone Field.
