• Hey JL – the learning centre needs your help.  We are doing a fundraiser for the breakfast program.  We are requesting students and staff to donate cereal to the learning center

• Any grade 12’s who bring in a prize for this year’s Prom Bingo will be entered into a draw for a free prom ticket!  Donations must be worth $25 or more and can be dropped off at Ms. Butler’s room 319.

• The Pick of the Month in the library this month is an appropriate one for Remembrance Week.
Only 100 pages in length, But You Did Not Come Back is a powerful memoir by concentration camp survivor Marceline Loridan-Ivens.
In our act of Remembrance this year, it is perhaps more important to remember the terrible insurmountable grief that war brings rather than the actual battles won or lost.
In But You Did Not Come Back, a daughter separated from her father at Auschwitz, writes a letter to her deceased father many years later.   This letter is proof that the pain of war does not end when the war ends, but colors every aspect of a person’s life.  If there was ever a reason to say “never again” this book says it all.

• Hey Judges!  The Judges chambers will be opened this Friday, in the cafeteria at lunch.  Be sure to come and check out our alumni and regular apparel to show off your J.L. spirit!

• Hey everyone, the girls’ volleyball team has their first playoff game tonight at 6:00 in our home gym. Come out and support the girls as they take on DHS!  Good luck tonight girls!
