  • Reminder to the Yearbook Committee that there is a meeting today at lunch in Mr. Desveaux's room, room 232.
  • We are seeking cast members, crew members, and musicians for the school musical. If you are interested, there are posters around the school which include a QR code for a Google Form to express your interest or to sign up for an audition time. Auditions will take place after school on Friday, November 18th and Monday, November 21st. You can see Ms. Migneault in the band room if you are unable to access the form via the QR code or for more information.
  • The Legion Poster and Literary Contest is now open. Students are invited to create a poster, essay or poem based on the theme of Remembrance. Winning entries will be awarded a cash prize from the Earl Francis Spryfield Memorial Legion. Please see Mrs. Smith in the Library for more details and an entry form.
  • Welcome all Trivia Fans. Student council is hosting a Trivia Night on Tuesday November 15th from 4 - 5:30 in room 228. There is a $4 entry fee and a chance to win a gift basket worth up to $40. Sign up sheets are posted outside of room 228 and on the main bulletin board outside the gym. You can sign up as a group or individually. The prize will be divided amongst the winners.
  • Next week (14th - 18th) is spirit week at JL! First is Monochromatic Monday, followed by Crazy Hair Day on Tuesday. For White Lie Wednesday students are encouraged to wear a white sure with a written white lie about themselves on it. Keep it appropriate please. Lastly, Onesie Day/PJ day is on Friday. Staff and students should bring their favorite stuffed animal to school.
  • The 2022-2023 Yearbook is now available to pre-purchase!
  • A link and QR code to the digital store is being posted on the JL Website as well as the Student Council Instagram page and various google classrooms. Despite surging inflation we have managed to keep the yearbook price at $50 plus a 5% fee to purchase online. You can also still purchase a yearbook at the office and can use your leftover Grade 9 trip refund money. Those purchasing online can add a personalized message or name to the cover for an extra $5.
  • The Yearbook Committee is working hard to make this Yearbook the best one yet to celebrate the return of pre-covid clubs, sports and school spirit. Order yours Today! Or Tomorrow, or whenever you can.
  • Reminder that the Caf will be closed today at lunch
  • Let’s keep learning a new word in Mi'kmaq every day. Kwe' Weli eksitpu'k. Good morning. Our Mi'kmaq word of the day is: "Aij", pronounced "aych" or  "I H". It means "lost for the right word" or "pausing to think".
