  • Congrats to the JL boys' lacrosse team and going undefeated in their round robin play. JL beat Eastern Shore, Citadel, and Millwood. We wish them luck in the upcoming quarter finals!
  • Gina is back at the Youth Health Centre from lunch hour till 3:30- drop in and say hi.
  • Any students who picked up Earnest C Wilkes Scholarship Sheet they are due in guidance today.
  • A reminder to all the members of the Film Club that there will be a prep meeting and test shoot after school today in Mr Henneberys Room.
  • There will be a meeting at the beginning of lunch today in the gym for anyone interested in participating in Track & Field this year. If you're unable to attend see Ms. Campbell for details.
  • Boys Softball is starting soon. Anyone interested in trying out for the Boys Softball team must attend the meeting today at the start of lunch in Mr. Langilles room (104).
  • There will be a Girls softball meeting tomorrow at lunch in Ms. Winters room, room 114. Anyone interested in trying out should attend the meeting.
  • The Yearbook committee will be meeting Tuesday and Thursday this week as we finish the Yearbook.
  • Beginning on May 10th, there will be a lunch time program offered to Grade 10 and 11 female-identifying students. This program will be focused on empowerment and building confidence in sport. It will be hosted by Olympian Karen Furneaux and participants will receive a new sports bra at the end of the three sessions. Food will also be provided. See SchoolsPlus in Room 319 if you're interested in registering.
  • For those interested in having a meaningful impact on the school and making next year as great as it can be: Applications for Executive positions on Students' Council are due Friday April 28th. Other Rep. position applications are due Thursday May 5th. Applications are available in room 228.
  • Want to win some prizes! Prom committee is hosting a merch bingo April 27th in the cafeteria. Bingo sheets can be bought at the door, $10 for a full game and $5 for a special or regular game. All Proceeds go towards prom. Come out to support your grade 12s!
  • April is Ribbon Skirt Month. Ribbon Skirts are traditional skirts worn my Indigenous people. During the month of April, we are inviting our indigenous Staff and Students to wear a ribbon skirt or shirt every Wednesday for the month of April. Please support our students and wear a ribbon on your shirt.
  • Parking passes are now available for pick up from Miss. Amy in the office. They will be handed out in between classes and at lunch. If you have not filled out a parking permit application please pick one up in the main office so that you are able to get a parking pass. Enforcement and parking patrol will begin Monday.
