  • The Rotary Club welcomes students to participate in a volunteer gardening opportunity this coming Saturday and Sunday at the Urban Farm in Spryfield, May 13th and 14th. If you have not yet signed up but wish to attend, give your name to Ms. Curran in room 224.
  • Did you know that Monday May 15th is Black Excellence Day?  Wear black on Monday and together, let us recognize the past, present and ongoing achievements, stories, art and innovations of people of African descent. As an opening for Black Excellence Day, today the Maritime Center for African Dance will be present to teach, share and promote African Culture though the art of dance. Did you know that to date,  the Maritime Center for African Dance has taught well over 600,000 children and adults in schools, community centres, camps and programs? This organization was formed out of a necessity for lack of cultural representation in the form of traditional dance in Canada and is a collective of different individuals from Africa who have are trained in traditional dance and ranges from the South, North, West and East of Africa.
  • Our last dance of the year is on Thursday May 18th from 7-10. It is beach themed. However no real beach will be present so no sand or bikinis please.  There will also be a Karaoke room, a board games room and Mario Kart.  There will be a full canteen and Ms. Winters will be spinning cotton candy for $3.  It is sure to be the best school event to date. Tickets will be on sale in the Cafeteria everyday at lunch from Monday the 15th to Thursday the 18th.  Tickets are $7 if you buy early and $10 at the door. Come out for the last big event of the year.
  • Swing batter batter swing, there is another Girls baseball tryout Monday May 15th at 4:15 at ESS bottom field.
