- JLs first Spirit week will be next week from Monday the 18th to Friday the 22nd. Monday is Barbie and Ken Day. Tuesday is Twin Day. Wednesday is PJ/Cozy clothes Day. Thursday Students dress as teachers (please be kind). and Friday is school spirit day (wear JL and or purple gear). Lets get a big participation turnout to start the year.

- All J.L. Soccer girls, please bring any outstanding forms to Ms Winters in Room 341 prior to your next game on Friday! Thanks so much
- There will be popcorn for sale in the cafeteria at lunch time on Fridays, beginning this Friday, for $2 a bag. Proceeds go towards funding activities and materials for the Learning Centre. It usually sells out quickly, so be fast!
- This announcement is only for the individuals who have previously met with Mr. Algee regarding participation in the regional golf tournament. These individuals are asked to meet at Goodwood Driving Range at 4 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 20. Only 4 individuals will move forward to participate in the Regional Golf Tournament on Monday, Sept. 25.
- Attention all those interested in trying out for the JL boys' hockey team. There will be a mandatory meeting at the beginning of lunch on Thursday September 21st in Mr. Algee's room 102. That's mandatory boys' hockey meeting, at lunch, Thursday Sept 21st, in room 102.
- If you're interested in joining the GSA, come out to our meeting this Wednesday, September 20th at lunch in room 314!
- There is a student vs teachers volleyball game friday lunch in the gym!
- There is a baseball meeting today at the beginning of lunch in Mr. Langilles room (343).
- There will be a Prom Committee meeting on Thursday, September 21st at lunch in room 314.
- This week is International week of Deaf people, celebrated September 18th - 24th. The theme this year is A World Where Deaf People Everywhere Can Sign Anywhere! You can visit the International Federation of the Deaf's website for more information!
- There will be a bake sale on Friday September 22nd to support this years prom.
