  • International Inuit Day is a day to celebrate and commemorate Inuit people and culture. The Inuit traditionally lived in Canada in the northern regions, northern Ontario, northern Quebec Labrador, and Newfoundland; Alaska; Greenland; and Russia. Today, Inuit live across Canada, in many communities. It is valuable to be aware of the Inuit and their rich and diverse cultures. Today is a day to celebrate the Artic and the people who traditionally call it home. Our climate is changing, and we need to help to keep these communities safe. Today, take some time to learn about how you can help protect Inuit rights and the Arctic environment.
