  • Las Posadas is a religious holiday celebrated in Latin America and by Hispanics in the United States. It is typically celebrated each year between December 16 and December 24. Translated to The Inns in Spanish, Las Posadas is a meaningful part of the Christmas festivities. Parties are enjoyed over the nine-day festival at various residences. Each night begins with a procession led by a child dressed as an angel. Representing Mary and Joseph's quest for lodging on the night of Jesus' birth, they stop at houses asking for shelter. Soon after, they read Bible passages, sing Christmas carols, hold Mass, and break a star-shaped piñata.
  • Kwe' December 15 is a very important day! It is the Annual JL Ilsley Traditional Indigenous Christmas Feast for the entire school. Come down to the cafeteria at lunch and share in some food. Traditional Feast protocol will be in effect.
