  • The Boy's hockey game had a thrilling last-second win against Dartmouth on Friday night.  After three lead changes, David Hubley scored with 4 seconds left to give the Judges a 5-4 win.  Other goal scorers were Zander Poulsen,  Patrick Byrne, Brock Rafuse and Brayden Forwell.  The boys play again tomorrow night at 6 pm in the Lions Rink against the Island View Devils.

  • Today, Imhotep's Legacy Academy will resume in-person tutoring to students of African Nova Scotian or African descent. Please come to see Mr. Etti in room 218 from 12 - 12:50 pm.
  • Just in time for the Holidays. JL swag has reached the store. Starting tomorrow and going all week, JL t-shirts, hoodies and crew necks are being sold in the cafeteria at lunch.  T-shirts are $20, crew necks are $45, and Hoodies are $50.  For potential grads that still have grade 9 trip money to spend, you can use this to buy school merchandise.
  • Attention Brave and Talented students of JL Ilsey. For the first time in 3 years, JL Ilsley is bringing back the Holiday Talent Show. On Dec 20th, the afternoon of the last day before the break, JL's Students' Council will host The Holiday Talent Show. All students present will be in the gymnasium for the afternoon for the Talent Show. If you would like to perform, there is a signup sheet outside room 228. You may also reach out to a member of your Students' Council.  Please sign up by Thursday, Dec 15th.
  • Attention JL students! The earth-wise club will collect plastic bottles for a bottle drive until December 19th. We are asking students and staff to bring in any plastic bottles to room 118 so that they may be properly recycled. Let’s help keep the plastic out of our oceans!
  • All ANS students planning on going to the Dalhousie Open House on Dec 14th can pick up their permission forms in the office or from Mr. Sealey. Forms need to be signed and returned before we leave for Dalhousie, or you won't be able to attend.
  • Interested in learning martial arts? The martial Arts club will meet at lunch on day B of the schedule. We will focus on the fundamentals of judo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and kickboxing. See Mr. Hennebury for more information.
