  • The youth health centre is open all day today Tuesday Jan 3. There is an informal meeting at lunch for members and interested students who may wish to be involved in school health planning.
  • Nova Scotia Works partners are hosting a Summer Student Job Fair on next Monday, January 9 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Halifax Central Library at 5440 Spring Garden Road for students ages 16 and up. There will be up to 18 employers, and these employers are all recruiting youth and are specifically interested in those who can communicate in French. Please note, there are also opportunities for students who only speak French or who have strong French language skills but little to no English. For more information, please contact the School Liaison, Ms. Patricia Brooks at her room 307, or have a review the poster.
  • For all G12 students attention. IWK Research Services is proud to offer The Future Health Research and Innovation Scholarship to Maritime students. The Future Health Research and Innovation Scholarship was created in 2015 for the purpose of fostering awareness in health research at the IWK and to recognize outstanding grade 12 students within the Maritimes who have demonstrated an early interest in health-related research and/or innovation. To be considered for The Future Health Research and Innovation Scholarship, grade 12 students must intend on continuing their education at a Maritime post-secondary institution (college or university) in a field that will enhance health research or innovation. The deadline for applications will be March 1, 2023 and notification of the winners will be made in June. For more details, please review the poster from the Class of 2023.
  • There is a meeting for all exec members of the student council today at lunch in room 228
  • Any students of indigenous descent who is interested in any career in any type of trade, please come see Tish in room 331. We will be going on a field trip Thursday, January 5th.
